I want to get a tattoo in memory of my brother, I think on my arm. What are some good ideas if you are not religious? I want something original. I am thinking about the F-you gesture because he always did that or a guitar.

I'd get a guitar with his initials in it.

The best idea that anyone could give you is to wait until you know for sure. Asking others means it isn't right so don't make an appointment until you know what you are getting and where. You don't have to be religious to get a tattoo in memory of, talk to an artist about drawing up custom art and working in appropriate ideas. Don't get anything rude though, having private meaning is good bug if it offends people like having a hand flip the bird or something you could easily end up regretting the attention it gets. Keep it respectful, if you wan like the f-you gesture maybe a bird with a mocking look, not tweety but a mean looking bird. At least it wouldn't be as obvious. Just my thought on that idea but do what you want. It is your body after all, good luck and sorry about your brother.

You might want to think about how pretty that F---you on your arm will look when you are taking your grand kids to the zoo.

have it DRAWN ON before you permanently tatoo it, and wear if for a while so you can get comments from your friends and decide if you REALLY like it or not. Sorry about your brother, but there are better ways to honor him. Your husband (if you are married) or future husband may not like it at all.

haha the F-you gesture sounds like a great one, esp if you think that would represent something about him.
