The first thing I recommend is looking at the diet. If you are feeding a poor quality food, this is the major source of the problem. Choose a premium food from a pet store with no more then 2 grains listed in the first 5 ingredients. You'll pay more, but will feed less and have less issues with smelly dog!
The best thing to clean a dog with to get the smell off is not a shampoo! Fill a sink with warm water. Add in 1 cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of baking soda. You can also add in a few drops of tea tree oil if you get some. Available at any health store such as GNC. Tea tree oil is very healthy for the skin.
So take a bath towel and soak it good and towel the dog down. Better yet is to mix this in a bucket and pour it over your dog making sure it reaches his skin. Do NOT rinse it off. No need for that and the vinegar smell goes away as soon as the dog is dry.
This works fantastic!

RE:
Home Remedy for smelly dog?
Does anyone have a homemade shampoo for dogs recipe? My dog is super smelly. She has all kinds of shampoos, and she gets a bath once a week, but she smells pretty bad by day 4. She's a beagle mix, and I read somewhere that Beagle's are naturally smellier than other breeds, but there has GOT...

I agree with DP, short haired breeds should not be bathed more than once a month. By washing her often you are making her body produce more oils which in turn makes her smell more. Try getting a good quality deodorizing shampoo or giving her a final rinse with 1/4 cup vinegar mixed into 2 cups of water. Maybe also try getting some of those doggie sprays (ones that don't contain alcohol to use between baths) I like the Pet Aromatics ones for my dogs. Also when you bathe her make sure you rinse out the soap completely or else this will also cause her to smell sooner and will also dry out her skin and cause her to be itchy.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU8UN
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

My beagles had very little odor, they could go for months without baths. Are your dog's ears clean? Ear infections can cause a dog to smell bad,and so can blocked or infected anal glands or infected or dirty teeth. If these check out OK,then try Fresh and Clean shampoo by Lambert Kay.You can buy it at most pet stores, and it leaves the dog smelling really great for up to two weeks.Between baths, wipe the dog down with baby wipes and use Fresh and Clean cologne (original scent is best.) You can also mix baking soda and cornstarch 50-50,rub it into the dog's coat and brush out.

Try switching her food.
Corn, wheat, soy, milk, chicken and beef can cause skin problems.
Look into Innova, California Natural, Artemis, Wellness, and Canidae.
A supplement might also help. Look into California Natural Skin and Coat Supplement.
Good shampoos are Tropiclean and Earthbath.

As a professional dog trainer for over 16 years, I have to tell you my strong opinion that you need these group classes for obedience training. http://OnlineDogTraining.enle.info/?I23M
Other pet warehouses are there to get you to buy their products and hang around their strore. And their trainers are their employees...never forget they have an agenda. Most of the trainers have very little education--if they had actual training and skills they wouldn't be there making just over minimum wage--trust me on this. But even if they did have experience and talent...a group setting is a terrible place for learning to take place. It's distraction training and it is the LAST phase of training not the first. You wouldn't have your child try to do their homework in a toy store, would you? Of course not...the level of distraction would be too high! It's the same with dogs. Having said that, these classes can be an excellent way to socialize dogs...but not to train them. And while they appear to be cheaper than a professional trainer...you have to attend many more sessions to get the same results because of the poor learning environment--so you wind up spending MORE money for less training than you would with a professional. Save your money and go to someone who actually knows how to train dogs. OR, read books and try to train your dog yourself. There is nothing they train at a Petsmart or Petco that you can't do yourself with a couple of hours of reading.

No!!!!!! Dogs belong with their owners, in the house. If we go out they can go out and back in when we go in. Animals lions, tigers, and bears are animals they belong outside. You keep your precious dogs in the house with you. As for shampooing your dogs and shampooing the carpet and furniture air out the house on good days, the smelly dog smell will get better.

shampoo her in tea tree shampoo ,lather and let stand for 5 min before rinsing thoroughly
Also you may want to wash bedding and/ or areas in your home that she lays frequently, often,so the smell doesn't tranfer back to her when she's all bathed.
