It brings no promise of everlasting life or heaven. It offers no no hope of personal immortaility, no promise of recompensation for injustices suffered, no blueprints to sure salvation...
Damn!!!! Something is to be said of people that put the "Truth" before themselves.
Believers (wink wink)

I don't know about you, but I plan on living my life while I'm alive, not worshiping some entitiy, so I might rise again after death.

Here's the thing. Atheists don't believe in everlasting life or heaven. There is no "divine justice" because there is no divinity. There is no reason for "salvation."
All of these things are your "truth." That does not necessarily mean that yours is the only "truth" or even a particularly valid "truth."
You go right ahead and wink smarmily at your fellow believers. What you fail to understand is that people who don't believe actually and truly don't believe. You operate on the same sort of reasoning that leads people to think that should they suddenly wake a Frenchman in the middle of the night, he'll speak English.

I don't want to live eternally. I just want to live this life fully, and I'll be happy for it. Non-existence is such a hard concept to grasp for some people that they make up things. That's how I view heaven and hell. But if that concept helps people do good deeds, I say go for it. But I can be nice anyway. Golden rule.....all the way.

What the hell does that even mean? We don't need a promise of heaven to be happy. Why blindly follow something with no evidence just because it makes you feel better? Not to mention all the side effects like the Bible telling you to eradicate gays, among other things.

False promises are worthless.
False hopes are pointless.
Immortality aspirations are not on my agenda.
I am not looking for recompense.
Salvation ...... a concept that does not carry any weight at all in my life.
As you say, I put reality before delusion.

If this is it,,,,
I mean it! When you die you are nothing more than compost.
Then, EVERY minute EVERY breath is precious, EVERY thing you do in life EVERY thing you teach your children is far more valuable than getting a second chance.
Think about it.
BTW,, I am not so self important to think my life has any more or less significance than my neighbor.
It is what I CHOOSE TO DO WITH IT that matters. Not what a book tells me I should do.

Atheism is logical. Did you choose your beliefs because of what you got or because you believed it? Atheism is my truth.
