According to the scriptures...if you follow the timeline that i seem to understand...Adam and Eve would have been in the garden about 5000 years ago...however it also claims that the God created man on the sixth day of creation...which should make humans as old as the other animals...Science seems to disagree with this..I beleive that we are reading time wrong in the scriptures...or could it be that humans were aroudn before 5000 years ago but it simply wasnt recorded?

There are other scriptures that dictate that one day to God is like 1000 years to man. That would still place man in the garden at roughly 6000 years being that Adam was supposed to be the image of God's perfect creation. I believe in the universal perspective that if Einstein's theory of relativity is incorporated in the creation mystery it just so happens that it coincides with the expanding universe theory and would encompass all of the universe having come into being in the space of 6000 years. This is accounting for the expansion rate being a factor of lightspeed squared at the first incident.

I'm not sure. I don't know how you got the time-line of 5000 years ago. I know Moses wrote the Book of Genesis around 1450-1410 B.C., but I'm not sure of any timelines before that. Also, we know God created fish and birds on the fifth day. He created every kind of animal on the sixth day. These were God's days. This is also when men were living to be 1000 years old... I think time tables are hard to follow from that long ago.

I'll just wait and ask when I get to Heaven. :)

Animals were created before humans. So how would they be as old?

Think about it this way: the creation story in the Torah is a metaphor for how things came about. G-d created light (there was matter) G-d created the seas (all life-forms came from water) G-d created the celestial forms (there was a universe/galaxy/etc) G-d created land (there was land and multi-cellular organisms that could exist outside of water) G-d created animals (there were animals) G-d created Adam and Eve from dust (humans came from what was already on earth [animals])

Peace

Sorry, babes, yet a dictionary in simple terms represents a slice of mainstream understand-how at a undeniable time. And Jews have not been properly represented interior the mainstream understand-how in an eonically long term. Judaism is a faith, no longer a race. The Hebrews have been an historical team of human beings, probable a Canaanite subgroup, consistent with possibility pressured into nomadism by way of circumstances, who progressed a distinctive type of monotheistic non secular prepare referred to as Judaism. some Jews would be their descendants, yet no longer all. The words are 'interchangeable' just to those that do no longer understand a lot approximately Judaism. Jews do no longer say we are 'the 1st'. that's a Christian concept. We did no longer strengthen into monotheists or start up a collective identity till Abraham. Genetic researchers hint an element of DNA back to seven woman ancestors. So sure, human beings are all appropriate if we pass back a methods sufficient. yet why no longer in simple terms communicate touching directly to the interconnectedness of all of existence? the quantity of DNA we share with different animals is marvelous. Being Jewish truly skill something, and it is not genetic or racial, and it is not public components for others to do with as they %. Please go away our call and our identity on my own.

What the heck are you talking about? God never said that Adam and Eve were made 3000 bc. That's like when mesopotamia was being developed by humans. So it must have been way before that. You make no sense.

Adam and Eve weren't born and suddenly said, "oh let's record this moment for future generations."

If a day is as a thousand years with God, and a thousand years is a day with God, then the races were created on the 6th day. Adam was created on the 8th day. After God had created the races to tend to the earth, He looked around and saw he had no man to till the earth, so He created Ha-A'dam, The Adam, or The man. So if it took God 8 days to create, would it not have been 8 thousand years instead of 8 days as we know it? Think about that. Interesting huh?

But the earth is billions of years old. There is a first earth age, which the dinosaurs existed, then the first earth age was wiped out, and we on in the second earth age that was created by God.

It seems that God's day might be a tad bit longer than 24 hours in human time. What do yo think?

Or ... the bible talks about people that were created by "us" that is God and whoever else was around. But then again that does not mean it literally.

I believe that the old testiment speaks to God's chosen people and his utopia that he created called Eden in our parlance, rather than people in general. Hence, when they are cast out, there are other people in the world outside of the Garden of Eden. They existed before Adam and Eve. They were not God's favorite and the lived int he land of MOAB.

Please consider the following:

Adam‘s age when Seth was born:130 years(Genesis 5:3)
Seth‘s age when Enosh was born:105(Genesis 5:6)
Enosh’s age when Kenan was born: 90(Genesis 5:9)
Kenan‘s age when Mahalaleel was born: 70(Genesis 5:15)
Mahalaleel‘s age when Jared was born: 65(Genesis 5:18)
Jared‘s age when Enoch was born:162(Genesis 5:21)
Enoch‘s age when Methuselah was born: 65(Genesis 5:25)
Methuselah‘s age when Lamech was born:187(Genesis 5:28)
Lamech‘s age when Noah was born:182(Genesis 5:32)
Noah‘s age when Shem was born:500(Genesis 11:10)
Shem‘s age when Arphaxad was born: 100(Genesis 11:12)
Arphaxad‘s age when Shelah was born: 35(Genesis 11:14)
Shelah‘s age when Eber was born: 30(Genesis 11:16)
Eber‘s age when Peleg was born:34(Genesis 11:16)
Peleg‘s age when Reu was born: 30(Genesis 11:18)
Reu‘s age when Serug was born: 32(Genesis 11:20)
Serug‘s age when Nahor was born: 30(Genesis 11:22)
Nahor‘s age when Terah was born: 29(Genesis 11:24)
Terah‘s age when Abram (Abraham) was born: 70(Genesis 11:26)

Add these up and you will see it was about 2000 years from the time that Adam was created (when the Earth was 6 days old) to the birth of Abraham.

The time period from Abraham to Christ was about 2000 years and from Christ until now it has been about another 2000 years.

Add these together, and the Earth, according to the Bible, is about 6000 years old.

Another reason that man and aimals could not be millions of years old is, Adam and Eve brought sin and death into the world because of their disobedience, therefore no deaths occured until after the fall of Adam and Eve, who were the first man and the first woman.

Jesus came to the earth to die, forgive sin and give eternal life because of our sins and the sin nature which we inherited from Adam. Therefore the story of Adam is true.

The Bible indicates that it's been between 5,000 and 6,000 years since Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. Anything else you say about it is pure speculation.

The date on the Jewish calendar is supposed to start at that time that I mentioned above.
