I of course believe God made it. for evolutionist say it just appeared. BUT the cells combined together made the universe... WRONG!!!!!!!!! if there wasn't anything, how could there be atoms and cells and things like that? Hmmm.... got you thinking. Just know that God ( the only God ) made the universe

well, tell me how, " God isn't real" go ahead. TRY and prove it. you can't. don't you want to go to a wonderful place filled with streets of gold. we would never, EVER have to eat or drink again. we could never get hurt. we won't ever cry. This place is called Heaven. i want everyone to go there, because that would make God happy. but if you don't believe in it, then you're going to be in hell. a.k.a, the place you DON'T want to go to. it's like being burned in a fire, but worst. it never ends. you don't get a drink of water. oh and don't forget. when God casts you out forever, well, you won't exist anymore. so too bad for you guys that don't believe in God.

So let me get this straight...the universe, a big, mind-bogglingly BIG thing, was created by something more powerful than it. That's fine, but then how do you explain where this creator came from? "oh he was just there all along" doesn't cut it, because you've just now claimed that something CANNOT spring into existence from nothing. If you introduce the supernatural, all bets are off, because now you've got some hypothetical being that is somehow not governed by the same laws that govern EVERY SINGLE OTHER THING IN THE UNIVERSE! That doesn't make any sense at all. The only thing you've got me thinking about is how on earth people like you can make it out of high school being so ignorant of how to put forth basic logical arguments.

Let me know when you get that scholarship to Cal Tech.
The Big Bang Theory (not evolution) states that the universe has expanded into its current state from a primordial condition of enormous density and temperature. This is supported by Friedmann's models. Nowhere does it state that cells just combined to make the universe or that there was nothing before.
May I suggest you actually study a theory (or at least learn the correct name of the theory) before openly criticizing it?
Since there are many creation stories that predate the Bible, I am assuming that you are not referring to the God of the Old Testament.
The only thing you "got me thinking" is that I really wish you would post this in the science section. They could use a good laugh.

Look, you don't even understand the principals of why we "believe" that the universe came about without divine intervention, let alone how it came about so why are you even arguing against it.
Stay in school, get an education, keep an open mind when it comes to science and then, after you've got an understanding of big bang theory, evolution, and the difference between cells and atoms for a start, then you can come back and argue against it all.

And where did God come from?
Try actually thinking about the problem, rather than grabbing the first trite answer that agrees with your preconceptions.
As to where the universe came from:
I do not know.
However, people used to say that god was needed to make the sun rise.
They were wrong.
They used to claim that god said that the sun went around the Earth.
They were wrong.
They used to claim that God created and controlled the lightning.
They were wrong.
They used to claim that god made the universe in 7 days about 6000 years ago.
They were wrong.
They used to claim that god made all the creatures exactly as they are now.
They were wrong.
So now when they claim that god had to make a 15 billion year old universe, full of stars with planets orbiting, life evolving and weather happening. . . .
What are the odds that they finally got one right?

"...the cells combined together made the universe... WRONG!"
I don't care how many exclamation points you use. The fact that you suggest cells formed the universe is ignorant to such a high degree that you opinions on cosmology mean little. I have mastered enough math to tackle general relativity (but don't claim to understand it). I cannot approach the various models of the formation of the universe with more than superficial conception of the merit. I cannot favor one over the other, and certainly cannot reject or accept any. How do you reject them without the least understanding of what they state?

The universe was not 'made'. The universe is the unending space, the void, and it is the small CONTENT of that space that you may be referring to. All - the space and the content - always existed and none of it was 'made' by any invisible magician. To believe so is childish in the extreme. Wishful thinking does not make any wild concept true, no matter how many times you state your deluded opinion.
Childhood belief systems are usually discarded at a sub-teen level. Ancient myths are included in that grouping.

The "Big Bang", which was more of an expansion than an explosion. A primordial quark-gluon plasma eventually cooled, allowing for the formation of protons and neutrons. These mixed with electrons to make the first atoms. This, eventually, became stars, etc.
The origin of the Big Bang itself may well have come from the space-time continuum where matter routinely comes from and goes into existence/non-existence.

No, you didn't get me thinking anything other than you are really unaware of science. The start of the universe is well explained by super string theory, this deals with the cause of energy and matter and essentially results in the galaxies, stars, planets and other bodies formation.
Evolution is the process by which life changes and adaptes over time. This is a proven fact.
Belief is fine, but belief does not change the facts.

I asked God this question once. He said He fell asleep one day, and dreamed a dream. When He woke up, the universe was there.
I think it's as good an explanation as any. The details of God's dream, now, that I do not know. I like Windom Earle's answer.

Evolution does not deal with the origin of the Universe, it deals with how life changes over time.
Many theists also believe in evolution. Belief in God and evolution are not mutually exclusive.
Why couldn't God use evolution to create ?
