maybe it'll look better if you have just one neon red accent wall...which means that you'd only paint one main wall neon red, and the other 3 walls would be a more neutral color

A vivid neon red is probably going to be too much. If you painted one wall this color and painted the others beige, you could enjoy yourself. Use some vivid neon red in some other areas using some accents such as a small lamp shade or a picture frame placed on a table or wall.

If you want red, do it ... and don't let anyone talk you out of it!
It's not for everyone, that's for sure, and true, you may get tired of it ... but you also might LOVE it, and you won't know unless you try it!
MY favorite color combo is red-white-black-grey-silver ... but other strong, primary colors (blue and yellow) also go well. If the walls are gonna be red, I'd use the other bright colors sparingly, just as accents. I also like turquoise with red, white, and black.
You can pick some bedding or curtains that you like (that go with your wall-color) and pull your other (accent) colors from there. Just have fun with it!
Just something to keep in mind, though ... red paint will take multiple coats to cover well ... in my case (over builder's flat paint) it took primer plus five coats ... and yes, you'll save time if you use a tinted primer. Good Luck on your room ... if you love the colors, you'll love the result!

Suggestion:
1] get a red solid or print set of bedding and drapes/curtains, with throw pillows to match.
2] then select your red paint [ much easier to match paint to fabric than vice versa ].
3] paint head of bed wall the red,and other walls a light neutral from print, or white/ivory. Be sure shades blinds are approx the same shade as neutral walls.
4] add red and black iron and brass ornaments.
5] suggest brass frames for art.

Dont do it....it sure sounds like a good idea, and once you get it up you will look at it in horror and ask yourself "what was I thinking" and after a week of trying to relax in a room that is positively vibrating you will snap and decide next weekend you are going to have to prime it and paint it a dark shade of blue. Trust me.
Skip the painful red step and go straight to blue - you'll thank me ;)

Does the room have any homestead windows? pink or dark colorings might make the room look very closed in and smaller. i like the terracotta theory. a pal of mine did her eating and kitchen in that color. in case you think of that terracotta is to dark try portray basically the backside of the wall that color and the the terrific option 0.5 in a lighter color. Use chair rail or wall paper border interior the middle. eco-friendly is a large accessory color. Oh, and in case you desire to make your ceiling look larger, try portray a band approximately 3 or 4 inches, each and each of ways around the the terrific option of the wall into the white ceiling, with white. It provides the phantasm have having a greater physically powerful ceiling. i'm hoping I typed this so which you will comprehend. i'm no longer large on giving written instructions. I you like be at liberty to digital mail me. reliable success!

I would suggest painting one accent wall, like the one behind your bed, bright red (like "fireworks" by Sherwin Williams) and then paint the rest of the room something different, like "sockeye" or "feather white." Too much red makes you hungry & angry. While you want your bedroom to look cool, you also want to relax there.

It might look good to you. I would not care for it at all. I think you might get tired of it really fast.
