I have been wondering this for some time. See, I live in the States and many people here say that we have an illegal immigration problem (Mostly Mexico). Some civilians have even gone to the point of patrolling the border voluntarily.
Now for the question. Is this a major problem in Europe as well?
I mean, there are more borders that can be crossed illegally so you would figure that it could be a potentially larger problem. Just wondering.

You bet there is....England for one...also, just do a google on Riots in France and the massive fires due to them....the US isnt alone in having an illegal alien problem...heres a link in regards to France and the riots:

Many of my European friends complain about the influx of illegal immigrants from the Balkans, The Middle East,and Asia.

It's a HUGE problem in Europe. It's gotten much worse since they opened their borders to each other.

there are no borders in the Euro Union. but the border countries have problems except for Norway and Switzerland who arent member but i dont think they have borders with these countries. the biggest problem in europe are russians and romanians even though romania is in EU they cause the most problems

southern and northern borders are important, plus good thought about patrolling them
