It appears so.
When Noah built the Ark, only his wife, sons and their wives came aboard. No one else was left on the face of the earth, and the bible never made reference to God creating any more people to increase he genetic pool.

No, what made you think that? Do you figure most people have been isolated into gene pools that inbred over time? That was long ago enough that people today are far more mixed in their genetic heritage than at any time in the past, and the trend continues. Of course there are pockets of inbred groups, such as the Amish, but they are very rare.
