Barb is right. Time is not arbitrary. A three month old dog is three months old, period. Dogs' lifespans are not as long as those of humans, and even within the canine species, life expectancies vary by breed. A Great Dane is rarely expected to live longer than 10 years, but a 10-year-old Chihuahua is only middle-aged.
All the websites that convert "dog years" to "human years" are just for fun, and have no basis whatsoever in fact. Enjoy them, because they're harmless, but don't think for a second that they represent anything factual.

Depends on the breed of the dog, larger breeds age faster than the smaller ones.
Here's one online conversion since your dog is 3 months old he's .25 yrs (1/4 of a year) so according to this conversion he'd be just over 2 1/2
http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm
Note: It is a common belief that 1 human year is equal to 7 dog years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. The formula used above is from a canine expert and is a bit more accurate. (as accurate as one can judge these things)
The formula is: 10.5 dog years per human year for the first 2 years, then 4 dog years per human year for each year after.
Here's another chart, but it's hard to tell his age on this one since he's not yet one year old, but if you divide the 15 by 12 to figure out how much he ages in dog years per month for the first year(probably not 100% accurate but you get 1.25) multiply the 1.25 x 3 (for 3 mo.) = 3.75
http://www.france-property-and-information.com/dog-years-to-human-years-age.htm
So from these 2 charts he'd be anywhere from just over 2 1/2 - 3 3/4 yrs old in dog years.

Depends on how long you're gone, what breed Fluffy is... Some breeds are naturally unreliable. If you're gone long enough to run to the mailbox on the street and back- I don't see a problem, but any longer, and I'd either take Junior with me, or find a sitter. Some breeds are great with children, and I'd be willing to leave them alone together in the next room while I did dishes (by hand), or I'd be willing to leave the baby in a playpen inside with the dog while I was outside doing yard work, if there was a way for Fluffy to get out to me.... But to completely leave the house?....

I agree with Bobby above me but since you asked:
One and 3/4 years
If 1 year =7 years in humans (varies with the breed, I've heard)
3 months is 1/4 of 1 year (12 months)
1/4 of 7=1.75

The first year of a dog's life = 18 human years, so a 3-month-old dog is about 4 1/2 years old in human years.
After the first year it's about 4 dog years per one human year.

There have been several differing formulas for calculating dog years, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that any of them have been officially and scientifically proven.
