The fact is that no one knows! The climate is always changing even from one year to the next and good records only exist for the last 5 decades or so which in the scope of earths existence is less than 1 second if the age of earth was 1 year. Thats hardly enough time to know whether the climate is truly warming or its a hiccup. The larger question is whether man is responsible for ANY shift in warming or cooling. There is one constant in the debate and if one harkens back to 1975 with the NewsWeek article "The Coming Ice Age" one can see eco politics is a device used largely by the left to enact policies that would otherwise not be taken seriously. One example of this is the current debate over drilling in the Alaskan National Wildlife Reserve (ANWAR). Really noone wants to ugly things up yet in the scheme of things the ANWAR is a postage stamp in the center of a football field. Would drilling there to bridge the gap between the oil economy and more eco-friendly alternative energy sources be so very bad? The resounding answer is NO. The land there will heal and the oil rigs would someday be gone and we would have funneled less money into the hands of radical Islamic governments (terrorists).

Kind of both. I mean, it's real because the earth is getting warmer, but the Global Warming theory blames it on humans. I don't believe that I am the cause of global warming. I mean, look at the past. The earth has gone through many changes in climate, who's to say that's not going on right now? I'm not going to drive a hybrid with 50 horsepower just because some tree huggers, who are probably high, tell me I need to.

Global Warming's Consequences are
- Flooding (as the glaciers in the artic, greenland and more are melting so sea levels increase so floodding occurs!)
- Stronger Hurricanes ex. Hurricane Katrina (As the hurricane travels to any country and its above a WARM Ocean, the hurricane gets even more terrible)
- Temperature Rising (the more hot it is, you can see heat waves and when its too hot the water evaporates and when there's no more water, it will absorb the moisture of the ground. This is happening in Africa now. If it is too hot, forest fires can happen very often)
- Green House Gases (caused by us, those damn factory that produces toxic smoke [not clean])
Actually we are the culprits of Global Warming. We are also going to face the consequences. Really!

The general consensus by responsible scientist is that man made global warming is real.
Now there is a group of scientist who are funded by Exxon/Mobil who are saying it is not real and we have nothing to worry about. Whats interesting is that these scientist are getting allot of attention lately and are doing a good job of miss-informing the masses.
Global Warming is real, there is plenty of proof of it. Now the specific climate change that will happen as a result I personally don't believe anyone can accurately predict.

Global Warming is Crap! I just learned about it in my science for goodness sake. Green House Effect is how we live, because it blocks harmful UV rays.
If you ever look at charts of the weather in the past 30 years, there has been no significant change!!!! It has gone up .6 Celsius degrees sometimes, but it's hardly changed a bit. people can make people think things by showing a graph closer up, or farther away.
Global Warming is not occuring today!!!!!!

People have only been keeping track of statistics for a short time in the overall scheme of things. I'm not saying it's not possible that global warming is happening, I just think it's another bandwagon for everyone to jump on.

You may want to check out Al Gore's documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth'; which goes into mind-blowing detail about the Global Warming issue.

global warming is definitely real. the earth's temp has risen over the past century and there is a ton of proof. however, there are many theories behind global warming, such as the greenhouse effect or the earth's warming cycles. if u want the complicated junk go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming

Yes it is real. People may not want to face up to this fact, but it is happening. Take a good look at out weather changes. In the UP of Michigan we used to get tons of snow, but now we get nothing at all. The Copper country used to get up to 425 inches of snow in one winter. Now they are lucky if the get 150 inches. The Ice Caps at the North Pole is melting at a tremendous rate. Every summer is getting hotter and hotter. These are just some of the signs of Global Warming. I know there are a lot of people that do not believe it, but people it is true.

It's a big theory that's been blown out of proportion, by dramatic money lovers such as Al Gore Who want attention.
These are some crazy ideas of how to not create as much heat. You could not use your oven, (or all electricity for that matter) or stop eating so that you wont be supporting the airlines and trucks that pollute the air. you could also not use heating in the winter or drive a car or go to campfires or light birthday candles, this would all stop creating excess heat!!!
Oh, and another thing. If you're buying fluorescent light bulbs, stop!! They have mercury in them so when you think you're helping the enviroment you're actually poluting!
