I have Arthritis and many of they symptoms you mention fit.
Sore throats can be the trigger, however tests for Arthritis usually prove negative in the early stages. Likewise you could have Fibromalgia not sure of the spelling. Unfortunately I went almost ten years with mysterious symptoms before they told me I had Arthritis and they diagnosed it via a simple blood test!

Antonio, Yes, I'll have to disagree w/ Violet & agree w/ daise this time round... "last week in May", "very fatigued" (just wanted to sleep), "stiff joints all over... body", headaches,
"reflux disease" (No, it really isn't. It's static neuro pain in the same area [often lower center rib] - I had it) "nerves in face" involved, "pain in my ears", etc.
Good God, sounds like CLASSIC Lyme to me. You NEED to educate yourself about this disease; There IS no test (yet) that is anywhere's NEAR reliable in detecting a Lyme infection (better described as an invasion). The Lyme panel JUST CHECKS FOR ANTI-BODIES your body might have made in reaction to the p'cs of broken-up Lyme spirochette that it senses via the immune response. Problem is, live spiros' outer protein coatings can do a good job 'cloaking' them so that your body often doesn't "see" them.
Anyway, to the point-- Since upwards of 30% of people infected with Lyme can test negative on the ELISA (titer) & since the responsible medical community recognizes that diagnosing Lyme is primarily a "clinical diagnosis", you need to see someone who's familiar w/ the disease, a Lyme-literate doc (LLMD) as they're called.
As the disease is rampant in many areas & being spread by the bite of an infected adult- or nymph- deer tick [1 that stays on you for atLeast the better part of a day & is usually "engourged"], you should call to this doctor's attention as to any outside activty this last May that my have led to you're getting bitten. The woods in the NorthEast are particularily hard-hit, from Maryland to Maine.
If it is Lyme, the sooner you are on an abx protocol, the better as it only gets tougher to get under control. Right now- assuming Lyme is the issue- I'd guess you'll need to be on abx for 4 to 8 months. :(~ Be Aware: your symptoms will flare up once you are ON an effective medicine. It's fondly referred to as "herx-ing" (the Jarch-Herxheimer reaction) which is when the spiros start to die off in bunches & the body says "Whoaa! What is all this 'debris'?!!" & reacts. The worst is the 1-2 days after starting antibotics- often referred to as "hitting the dashboard" [as the abx put the brakes on the disease]. The 4th week is often no picnic either.
We ALL go thru it, though. It's part of getting better. And you WILL get better, Antonio. Just not overnight, or in a few days.
Go see if there's a local Lyme group meeting in your area. (type in 'Lyme groups' & your state) Tell them YOUR story. Often attendees are more than willing to share doctor info, self-care tips & SO much more... ;) Good luck!

HI Has the Doctor done a viral study this sounds to me like you may have an infection like Ross River Virus(Fever) it causes imflamation in joints and Mucas mambranes Ther are a number of other infections that do this
Make sure you are drinking lots of water to flush the virus out of your system and eat well lots of fresh fruit and vegetables
I had this some time ago and you sound very much like me
I am not just saying this because I had a similar problem I am also a registerd nurse

Hi!
Yes, you may have Lyme disease. Being ignored by docs is the norm.
What Lyme tests did you have? The Elisa (also called Lyme Titers blood test) is bogus.
Have you had a Western blot? Your local lab pulls your blood and ships it to another company. Only two labs test western blot responsibly: in Palo Alto CA and in NJ
Insurance companies like blood tests. Very important: the CD57 blood test, done responsibly only at LabCorp in Dallas TX. It's a test of your immune system, specific to Lyme disease. For more on the CD57, see www.ILADS.org, under Treatment Guidelines: Dr. Burrascano's 33 pages of hints.
You said your face is stiff--the nerves? And you have pain in your ears? Possibly mild Bell's palsy, a sign of Lyme. If it's Bell's palsy that's a real strong sign of Lyme. Search Bell's palsy at the ILADS website.
Best wishes.

It sounds like a thyroid problem to me and perhaps fibromyalgia. Did your Doctor do a TSH test? If they did what ranges are they using to express normal? New ranges were established in 2003 by the Board of Endocrinologists and those are the levels you need to look at for normal. Fibromyalgia causes joint pain and is often associated with hypothyrodism. All of these symptoms point to the thyroid to me but I could be very wrong. Hope this helps.
