Yes ... The only 30 minutes shows these days are news programs and various shows on Educational channels.

yes. i think they are going to be extinct. i mean the only 30 minute shows are cartoons, sitcoms, comedy shows, and kids programs. No drama is 30 minutes because they just can't have a sensible, proper story line in that much time. As you probably know a 30 minute show is actually 20 minutes, and a 60 minute show is 40 minutes. Popular comedies are even starting to have lengthier episodes. Take the Office, every once in a while they have a special 40 minute episode. And sometimes they even have hour long episodes. The producers just can't add all the character development, all the drama, comedy, and all the different storylines in 20 minutes. So in conclusion, 30 minute shows are a dying breed.

All but extinct. There used to even be 15-minute shows. But now it takes an hour to fit in enough commercials to pay for the filming. Making an hour show costs a lot less than two half-hour shows.
