I fell for my coworker and told my friend that this guy had been friendly, asked me to lunch on multiple occasions, made me laugh and feel relaxed in his presence, and that he even mentioned marriage (in general) during our lunch get-togethers. Anyway, I was telling my friend on my lunch break that he was interested in me seriously -- and the guy heard everything -- he was right behind me, and gave me a huge, knowing smile, and walked away. I am totally ashamed and feel like a dumb fool for having been played by a guy who ultimately turned out to be a jerk!

Now, he still tries to be cordial with me, but now that he knows he could have "had" me, he acts repulsed if I approach him, ask him for something, or when we're exchanging something like a pen, and happen to have our fingers or hands touch -- he gives a slight grimace

Can you imagine this guy? Guys, ladies, how do I cope with this? He told me I was attractive in the past, but I don't believe it at all by the way he now acts. Help

Frist things frist, IS HE YOUR EQUAL? THEN STOP TREATING HIM LIKE HE IS!!!!! THats for starters, next realize YOU FAILED!!! You did, you have no idea how to read people, understand people, and because of that yourself. See the way it works: He made you play yourself! Thats righ! No one controls anyone, BUT you can USE peoples IGNORANCE against them to get what they want. SO until you realize how you failed, your never going to move on. Two big things NOT to do, Blame all man (its your fault not all man) Blame yourself for the wrong reasons (its not because your stupid or alone) Its because you don't yet understand how relaitnoships work so you look towards everyone else to show, congrulations! You did just as screwed up as the rest of us! So until you get a bigger grasp of your life, this world, and your purpose, you have no business in a relationship, but like most, your going to follow the sheep, so if you want to rebound quick, figure yourself out.....
