I'm first and foremost a Christian.
I am neither a Democrat nor Republican.
My prayer life will affect my vote.

As a Christian, I feel that it is my civic duty to vote. Jesus told us to follow the law of the land. I feel that there is only two parties you can vote for if you want your candidate to win. If I vote Democrat, I feel I am going against my Christianity because of the Democratic stance on abortion. I feel it is wrong to abort a baby. If I vote Republican, I am going against my Christianity because of the death penalty. Thou shall not kill...
So, I try to vote by the individual. I research all the topics that are important to me, and vote for the candidate that believes most close to what I believe in.

I base my vote on the general ideals that Republicans are more moral and Democrats are more of the PC group. I myself vote Republican because my ideals are very What some consider old school. There is a passage in the Bible that says you are not to be concerned with the "trends" or "times" and to stay true to what you know is right even if you are ridiculed for it. I believe the Democrats are a group that goes with what society wants even though it may not be morally right, like abortion. I think we need to go back to being a God-fearing country like our forefathers founded it. That is my opinion.

As an atheist I have no religion to influence my vote. My own conscience dictates who I vote for. I belong to no political party.
I will not vote for a candidate that uses their religion as justification for continuing discrimination against certain members of society.

I could care less about a candidate's religious views as long as they don't interfere with them doing their job of upholding the constitution and enacting the will of the people, in that order.

You mean, do I vote for idiots like Bush because he is "a Christian"? NO......I vote for those who most actively fight for the rights of the poor like in issues on education, the elderly, the poor in general. I am a Special Ed teacher and I am a former Ombudsman for long-term care. Forget about them = forget about getting my vote!

NO. i do no longer positioned any emphasis on who is going to allow gay marriage and abortion. Nor do I evaluate their marital happiness or fidelity, or lack thereof. I basically prefer to vote on the placement of national secure practices, jobs and practise. I leave all else for the states to artwork out.

I'm Mormon...but I'm not voting for Mitt Romney...
It's not that I don't find him to be a great man or anything...it's just that I think it's time to get republicans out of office so we can fix the mess George made...
