That's an EXCELLENT score. I scored an eighty-three when I took the ASVAB, and I was told I could do pretty much anything I wanted. The only field for which I was not qualified was the Nuclear field, but even then, I had scored high enough that if I wanted to work in the Nuclear field, I could take a special test for admittance.

Yes, the ASVAB is timed and you can't use a calculator. The test isn't too bad but that depends on your test taking skills and general knowledge of various subjects. I recommend getting one of these prep books
It can make a big difference in how well you do since you'll know exactly what to expect on the test. The higher your score, the more opportunities you'll have and the better jobs you can qualify for so don't take the test lightly just because some people say it's easy. There's a big difference between doing okay and doing extremely well.

The prep/study book will get you used to the timing of the test so you know how long to spend on each question and get used to the time pressure you'll be under. They give you everything you need to know to do well. Good luck!

That IS a good score. I'm in the Air Force and my recruiter told me that if I got a 93 or higher, I would be given one of my top 3 job choices. I got a 96. I think my scores were:

Mechanical: 93
Administrative: 95
General: 93
Electrical: 98

Good job on your test, and good luck in whichever branch you choose!

Yes, 93 is an excellent score. My sons scored 88 and 96 respectively and got to pick the field of their choice. (Both chose cryptology.)

Depends on the branch of service the 93 was for. Every branch of the military has its own scoring system.

Yes it is! If it your overall score, then you rocked! You can probably go into any career field you want. In my own experience, my score was the same ballpark as yours and I went into electronics (Space Systems maint.) , but electronics was not my biggest score. So if your overall is high, it shows that you are smart enough to pick up any career field. Hope that helps.

The overall score doesn't really mean anything. Only the line scores.

YES! It is above and beyond the average score of 50. You should be eligible for almost any MOS or job.
