I have vaccumed all our clothes in our carry ons so we won't have any other luggage for airlines to lose. (I hear they do that frequently.) I was wondering if security will make me open the bags or let them go threw being vaccumed sealed. My clothes won't fit if not sealed. Help!!!!

It's extremely UNLIKELY ........ actually if all you have in the vacuum sealed pack is clothing, I can't possibly see any reason they would have for opening them!!

They look for solid items. items that may harm other people. If you have this type of item (i.e. toiletries), they may search your suitcase, but there's no reason they would unseal your carefully packed clothing.

By the way - I applaud you for being able to get all your stuff into carry-ons!

They might. They might want to see if anything is contained between the pressed clothing that they can't see in the bags. If they do ask you to unseal them, you may be stuck with less room then before, or perhaps they would have a vacuum they would let you borrow.

I would just check the bags . I Have only had lost luggage once & did receive it the next day. Take an extra bag along for souviniors, I always need more room!
