I am during a survey regarding men and women in the work force. Please include your gender and age in your answer. I would like to find out in the answers if male and female opinions vary as to whether more is expected from women in the work force as opposed to men. I'm sure I will get some interesting answers and look forward to getting as many answers as I can get. Thank you in advance. Lori.

I'm a 22 year old male.

I think it depends on the setting. I think that more is expected of men in female dominated professions and more is expected of women in male dominated professions. Its as if women have to exert extra effort to prove themselves in leadership/management roles and men are expecting to exert extra effort to prove themselves in professions that focus on using nurturing behaviors. This problem exists because of double standards imposed by society as far as what men and women should/shouldnt do.
