This looks like a loaded question. Since this is in the R&S section, I'm going to say that you don't mean the type of slavery that has long since been abolished. Let me guess, one of your family members is part of a less-than-popular religious group? Maybe even one that could be considered a cult? Are you looking for answers from people that might advocate a harsh response? Well, I'm not going to indulge you that type of response. Instead I'm going to give you some different type of advice. If these family members are adults and joined this religion willingly then it's not your business. If they are not trying to coerce you to join, then it's not your business. If they remain respectful of your beliefs, then it's not your business. If however, they were forced to join this cult and they are trying to force you to join, then you should probably seek an intervention.

It would really depend on what form of "enslavement" we are talking about, and the actual family member / the quality of my relationship to them.

I feel to a point many in the world are right now enslaved in other ways than human trafficking

what would I do? same as others, get the word out

things that are taboo often thrive due to secrecy

You mean like in a cult? I wonder then if they could tell they were enslaved.

I would ask them if they felt some type of bondage. If their mouth said "no" but their body language appears to say "yes" then I would seek some kind of help, perhaps some physical help to do so.

Well they are taught by Christianity to be enslaved so I think I should go directly to the source of the enthrallment.

Jesus said, "Everyone who sins is a slave of sin". Are you a slave? If so, a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. And the way you become a son is written in Gal 3:26 "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus"

So, yes, I work to bring you and your family to faith in Christ so that you will no longer be slaves. You got a problem with that?

pray and then every time I spoke to that person I would lift them with encouraging words from the word like how God has made us overcomers through Christ and we are more than conquers, and of course how God says we are beautifully made...
