I just moved, and have a bunch of it in my garden. I've never had it. Any suggestions for preparing?

I like to fix it with bacon. Fry up some bacon till crisp. Put the bacon on a paper towel to drain. Put the chard in the hot bacon grease till wilted. Put it in a serving bowl and crumble the bacon over it. I like to put a little vinegar on it.

Swiss Chard is absolutely delicious in a Risotto - you can look up a ton of recipies on the internet, but a good one is :http://www.newitalianrecipes.com/milanese-risotto.html

Its a bit complex, but really good!

I Like it just steamed, then you can add a bit of butter or salt and pepper. Or you can put melted cheese on it , that's really good too!
BUT! the main thing is to wash it one leaf at a time! You wont like finding grit in a bite, I learned that the hard way :-(

Chop it up, dry it thoroughly, toss it on the grill, add some lighter fluid, and touch a match to it. Wait 24 hours, scrub your barbecue grill thoroughly, and broil a nice steak.

Delicious!
