I like to fix it with bacon. Fry up some bacon till crisp. Put the bacon on a paper towel to drain. Put the chard in the hot bacon grease till wilted. Put it in a serving bowl and crumble the bacon over it. I like to put a little vinegar on it.

I Like it just steamed, then you can add a bit of butter or salt and pepper. Or you can put melted cheese on it , that's really good too!
BUT! the main thing is to wash it one leaf at a time! You wont like finding grit in a bite, I learned that the hard way :-(

I just clean it very well put in a salad spinner to dry it, then I put it in a covered dish and in the microwave, cook until it collapses, Every microwave is different 5minutes, add to it salt, butter a pinch of nutmeg

Chop it up, dry it thoroughly, toss it on the grill, add some lighter fluid, and touch a match to it. Wait 24 hours, scrub your barbecue grill thoroughly, and broil a nice steak.

saute a little garlic in olive oil, then add the chard (chopped) until it's just slightly limp.
