Property tax is not based on the religion of the property owner. There are some portions of property owned by the church that are normally not subject to property tax. Each state has different rules on how that is assessed but generally it applies only to the building that are exclusively used for religious worship practices. The farm land of the Amish would be the same property tax as the farm next door if the circumstances are the same.

The Amish can opt out of Social Security on self-employment income because they have a long established track record of taking care of their elderly. Other than that they pay the same taxes as everybody else.

They do not live in the city or county. They live far away from most people and have their own community. It depends if they are in a local government district. I think they do not. They should have their own system .
