Can I take a defensive driving course to lower a ticket for having no auto insurance?

In some states , you still pay the ticket but the course keeps it off your points which would make the insurance you Will be paying go up a 100% .
Unless you keep doing it and the taxpayers end up springing for your room and board in jail .

how about getting insurance, so the rest of us don't have to pay for your potential accidents
