Someone mentioned that an asteroid will hit the earth in 2027. Thankfully the "evidence" comes from the bible?

So I for one feel MUCH better.
The bible is so very wrong about so very much that I can rest easy now.

They even write, on the first page "NASA doesn't think it will hit."
But apparently, reassurances from actual scientists doesn't make these guys feel any better. They go on to say that their book of bronze-age jewish mythology says differently so they'll believe that before actual, credible scientists.
And they wonder why more and more people consider christians to be insane cultists?

Don't you feel better knowing that the "evidence" is based on a book of mythology.
I for one certainly do!

What I feel better about is knowing number one, that the Bible doesn't give a date for any asteroid hitting the planet earth, and number two that if such an event should occur that I will immediately be in the presence of God where there is fullness of joy and at whose right hand are pleasures forevermore because I have trusted in the sacrifice that Jesus made as payment for my sin debt.

If you don't have that same assurance then it doesn't really matter whether an asteroid hits the earth, you die of old age, or you get killed in a car wreck tomorrow. If you haven't turned to the Lord Jesus for your salvation then you will stand before God as a condemned criminal for as the Bible teaches, ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

As was mentioned above, the Bible clearly tells us no one knows when the earth will end, not even the Son (Jesus). Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. But don't look to the Bible to find out when the world will end....no one can know that.

I take the Bible seriously. Fortunately, I don't take that website seriously. Jesus never says anything about asteroid impacts or the year 2027...any more than He predicted that the world was going to end in the year 2000 like some claimed. He DID say that no one can know the time God will choose to end everything, so I'd say we can pretty much discount the credibility of the site.

And did you notice that they were trying to sell their book? that's not very conducive to trusting their information. Kind of reminds me of the people who claim Aspartame gives you cancer and the FDA is in bed with all the companies that make it.

Please don't talk about something you know nothing about. Such as the bible. You should try reading it and you find out quite the opposite... it is real! yeah it is surprising that something written so long ago is so relevant for NOW. And it never says the is an asteroid hitting earth on 2027 so please get your facts straight.

Sorry... but that has to be incorrect. The word asteroid isn't used in the Bible. I'm only guessing, of course, but it might be that the someone who wrote the prediction was making a very great mistake.
