She CAN if the vet who performed the surgery did not get each ovary in its entirety. Sometimes ovarian remnants get left behind and the tissue can still produce the hormones required for a dog to go through a heat cycle. Of course, though, the dog can't get pregnant because you can't leave remnants of the uterus behind, so there is no possibility of pregnancy.

No, and if you spay her before 6-8 months of age, she will never have a heat cycle, which greatly reduces her chances of contracting some pretty deadly cancers and diseases.
Plus, she can NEVER have any puppies, so hurray!!

when you have a female spayed they remove her ovaries and uterus. The ovaries cause the heat cycle sooooo without them there is no heat cycle therefore she is unable to become pregnant.
