or is it based on a bible or a god who gave us examples when it is "ok" or not?

how is abortion spiritual or religious? is there really and "right" answer?

is it not really a trolling and flaming subject?

here is one biblical example of a deity killing born children

"And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead." (Exodus 12:29-30)

God's OK On Abortion

"And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed." (Numbers 5:27-28)
Comment

This nonsensical ritual, prescribed by God, to a woman suspected of infidelity, must undergo the drinking of a vile concoction made of bitter water and dust from the floor of a tabernacle. A priest calls a curse upon the woman's head to insure that if she has acted in adultery the drinking of the liquid will cause her to have a miscarriage. If she comes out clean, then she shall conceive.

Regardless of how ridiculous this procedure seems, any person who believes every word of the Bible must come to terms with this realization

Some equate their religion with the right to control the lives of others. For them it is a religious issue. I just wish their religious fervor extended to ending war and executions.

here is why abortion is one in all those wedge undertaking interior the U. S..... the country became forced to settle for as regulation "abortion on call for". that's extremely diverse from the guidelines on abortion in different western countries. i'm prepared approximately criminal abortion - yet there would desire to a minimum of be some style of restraints (third trimester abortions are extraordinarily stupid... until that's a case of rape/incest then a woman does not get to confirm to no longer have a splash one after it somewhat is already waiting to stay exterior the womb). In countries like France and Sweden abortion is criminal - however the government has incredible safety nets for a foul and single mothers that are frightened with regard to the burdon of a having a new child. they're in touch approximately existence formerly AND AFTER a new child is born - in united states of america human beings do no longer look to furnish a damn approximately babies while they're actual born. females are inspired to have the toddler and are instructed that they might the two anticipate government help or supply the new child up for adoption right into a stable living house.... i think of the polarization comes from the fact we under no circumstances reached a consensus on the priority - it became desperate by way of a court. If we could have arise with a at an analogous time proper answer (like they did in France, Sweden, Germany, Britian, ect...) then i do no longer think of we'd be seeing abortion as one in all those massive undertaking.

An unborn child is precious in God's eyes. Proof :

1.Ps. 139:13-16: “You (God)kept me screened off in the belly of my mother. . . . Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, and in your book all its parts were down in writing.”

2. Psalms 127:3--- Look! Sons are an inheritance from God;
The fruitage of the belly is a reward.

Your other examples are of God personally rendering judgment. Only he has the right to do so.

Numbers 5 does not indicate pregnancy. God simply ended her ABILITY to procreate

This was by no means a trial by ordeal that sometimes required a virtual miracle to survive, such as those practiced in the Dark Ages. There was nothing in the water itself to cause the affliction. However, it was holy water and had in it holy ground or dust and the writing of the cursings washed off in it. Therefore, it contained powerful symbolisms, and it was drunk before God and with a solemn oath to him. There was no uncertainty as to the outcome of matters. If the woman was guilty, God caused the drink to have miraculous potency to produce the deserved results. Adultery carried the death penalty, but in this instance there were not the required two witnesses.

Certain Christian denominations perceive abortion as going against the commandment "thou shalt not kill." I think that in earlier times in Christian Europe abortion was a "gray area" and the Church also would debate about when the "soul" entered the body--but nowadays Christians tend to believe that abortion at any time during pregnancy is murder. --Some of this also has misogynist or sex-phobic overtones (but this is just my opinion).

Examples of abortion or infanticide do not appear in the New Testament. You have presented examples from the Old Testament. What your examples tell us is that the writers of Old Testament thought it was OK for God to kill the children of their enemies (because one's enemies are "nonpersons" after all) and that it was OK for women who became pregnant through suspected adultery to be given abortives as a test to see whether the pregnancy was legitimate or not (this is akin to a Medieval witch trial of seeing whether a suspected witch floats or not)

From a Christian view, deliberate abortion — except when the mother's life is in danger — is murder. It is killing the most defenseless living beings by taking away their most basic human right: the right to life. Recent technology and microphotography have shown that the baby is a growing, living human right from the earliest stage. From the moment of conception you have all your genes and chromosomes, and all the “information” you need to direct your development.

Psalm 139 again makes clear that the fetus (unborn baby) is a human whom God loves. And God told the prophet Jeremiah, “before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5). God had plans for Jeremiah even while he was in his mother's womb.

Abortion has become morally acceptable to some simply because it is currently legal. Legality does not necessarily imply morality. Slavery was once legal in the United States, even though it clearly was not moral. The taking of an innocent, defenseless human life is unacceptable and morally wrong. Killing innocent people is immoral and illegal in the United States; therefore, to be consistent, abortion should also be illegal. The moral aspects of abortion are clear. It is time for society to truly consider what it is doing to other humans.

First hug and thank your mother profusely because she chose to have you instead of having an abortion.

Second this is a biological issue and no woman had a choice about being born female. Therefore I really believe if God put her here to help procreate life. Then the only real choice is for her is to give the child up for adoption if she really don't want one.

I know because I myself was adopted.

It is a religious issue because here we are acknowledging man is not an evolutionary creature but is one created by God. It hearkens to my second point about biology. where the woman had no choice being born a female.

But who am I but a Black male, bigoted, chauvinist, pig. Sooo.....

It becomes a religious issue when the religious nut jobs want to force their religion on us through our laws.

Basically I believe abortion to be morally wrong, but that legally it should be safe and legal. Socially, people should be responsible and not use abortion as primary form of birth control.

The first passage has nothing to do with abortion - it has to do with God's wrath and judgement.
The second passage has nothing to do with abortion, either. It has to do with God's judgement concerning questions of infidelity.
