I assume you are in Australia to ask that question. I doubt you do receive the bonus still as it is given to ease the burden of having to buy all new baby stuff. I would say the adoptive parents would get it instead, but am unsure on that. I know you DO still receive it if your baby is stillborn as this happened to my sister. Not that it was much comfort to her after her baby died but it did cover their rent etc while they were grieving and her husband was unable to work.

You must live outside the US. I would think that if someone puts their baby up for adoption that the person that adopts should get the bonus, and if they don't need the money they should put it into an account for the child.
