He has not always done this, it has just been the past couple of weeks. He doesn't seem to have any other symtoms, he's eating, drinking and playing as he usually is. Any idea what this could be?

One of my cats is a drooler when he is really relaxed and happy, if I have been laying with him or holding him, he gets big, long goobers of saliva hanging out of both sides of his mouth. It may sound gooey, but to me he's just really happy.
He has always done this, but if your cat is a little older and it has never happened before, get him checked out.

My cat has the SAME problem. Check his mouth he perobably has bad teeth so he drools more often since his mouth may be open from trying not to bite down on his teeth, or his mouth may be sore. have a vet check him out ;)

Either dental disease or a tumor in the mouth can cause these symptoms. A vet check is needed.

He could have some foreign object caught between his teeth or somewhere in his mouth. Needs to be checked!
