Hey, I need a great recipe for Buffalo wings for next week's football game! I'm having the guys over for the big Ohio State/Purdue game on Saturday, and I want to wow them with the best wings they've ever had. I would prefer that they are easy to make and require few ingredients, but if it doesn't, that's fine, too. There's going to be 6 of us.

DOWN SOUTH HOT WINGS

5 lbs. chicken wings
Louisiana brand hot sauce (only this brand will do)
dry Ranch dressing mix (2 packets)

Separate the drumettes and wings; discard the tips. Clean and marinate wings in hot sauce at least 1 hour or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Empty wings and sauce into baking pan and sprinkle the top lightly with dry Ranch dressing seasoning (this makes a crust on the top of the wings that is delicious).

Bake at 350°F for about an hour or until wings are done thoroughly. Mix the other pack of Ranch dressing seasoning as directed for dipping.

Buffalo wings, wings, or chicken wings are chicken wing sections (called flats and drums) which are often served deep fried and coated in sauce. Buffalo wings are named after the city of Buffalo, New York where they originated, and the appellation "buffalo" is now commonly applied to foodstuffs other than wings that are seasoned with the sauce or close variations on it. In the Southern United States, wings are often called hot wings, and there are local variations in how they are cooked.

i make this a lot because my family love wings.
get a bag of wings from the frozen section at your grocers. they are usually already prepped with the tips cut off. get a medium bottle of texas pete hot sauce. and 2 sticks of butter. also flour and oil. thaw the wings them roll them in a four salt and pepper mixture. fry until done. while they are frying..melt butter in pan add all the hotsauce. drain wings well on papertowels. dunk wings in hotsauce and place on baking sheet. bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Franks Red Hot Sauce original is by far the best wing sauce, you can leave it med the way it is or add melted butter to make mild, or to make hot I always add, white pepper, cayenne pepper, cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes always tastes good and I steam the wings first to cook them off, then fry till crisp and coat with sauce yummy

Use the recipe on the Frank's hot sauce bottle. They claim to be the original. I've done so and LOVED these wings. They are tastier if you deep fry them, but baked or broiled are yummy too. Now you've got me craving them!

Go to the Food Network website and check out either Bobby Flay, Paula Deen or Emeril pages. They've all made them on their shows and each one looked simple and tasty.
