for photoshoots, you know how professional photographers
have those big metal lights that make it very bright and have good lighting for pictures (so it's even without shadows and stuff..) like when they have photoshoots with celebrities and you can see the big lights/lamp things?
(i would show you a picture but i can't find one, and you probably know what i'm talking about if you're a professional photographer).

so where can i find those?

can you give me a website that sells them?

are they expensive?

thank you!

Whoa! Slow down.

How accomplished are you as a photographer?

Have you completed at least an associate program in photography?

Have you worked as an assistant to a professional photographer?

Have you mastered composition, light, f-stops, ISO and shutter speeds? Do you know every setting and feature on your camera and when and how to use them? Do you know when a scene will benefit from +1 EV? Or -1 EV?

Buying an expensive camera and owning a dozen lenses and an impressive array of lighting equipment does NOT make you - or anyone else - a professional photographer.

Giving a Stradivarius violin to someone untrained on the violin does not somehow magically transform them into a concert violinist. Giving every power tool made by Dewalt to an untrained person does not instantly make them a journeyman carpenter.

I just sit and shake my head every time some variation of this question is asked. Seems as though anybody who owns a DSLR thinks they have become a professional photographer by virtue of their purchase.

Some venues have "favored" providers. Some providers could love an possibility to have a holiday by way of to essentially the most prestigious marriage ceremony venues as they could like to be ready to position that of their portafolio and might be even get into their record of favored providers if they're fortunate. My officiant was once pleased that our marriage ceremony was once being held at a recognized and prestigious venue in New England. She instructed me that she has desired to "get in" for years and had not ever had a risk. She talked to the venue's marriage ceremony and parties supervisor, gave her industry playing cards and so on. and so on. All of our marriage ceremony providers had been already on their favored seller record and already understand how to do the wiring for the DJ and the lights . The marriage ceremony seller group is reasonably of a diva and there's rather a contest and reputation quo. Some providers could now not move wherever else and a few different are watching for a strategy to have their holiday there. Some others could understand what variety of a customer are you and expect your price range via the venue that you simply decide upon. Good good fortune

Rather than trying to buy studio lighting, buy a few books on the subject to learn what does what and to whom.

You have lighting, gels, floods, spot lights, umbrellas, backgrounds. You could probably spend a fortune on these things.

After either buying or checking out books at the library, look on EBay. I've also seen a few websites that sell used equipment. That would be cheaper.
