Why do cats tend to like the people who are allergic or unfriendly?

Why did you ask a question that's already on the yahoo home page? I agree with the answer the expert gave, but I have something to add to that. People probably sometimes imagine that their cats are going after the least cat friendly people, because those people complain more and make it more obvious. I know a lot of people who will complain just because the cat is on the opposite side of the couch their sitting on.

People who like cats and would like to be friendly with them often look very directly at the cats. And that's just the way people are: We see something we like, so we keep looking. People who do not like cats, or want to avoid them for the allergy's sake are less likely to look at the cats. Direct eye contact in cat language is a challenge for social dominance, so the cats are often more comfortable with the body language of those humans who would actually prefer to avoid the cats.

Well, cats are very independent so they don't like it when you follow them around or try to "cuddle". If you are avoiding them, then they tend to like you because you aren't bothering them or getting in their way.

Cats don't care what humans do, they just do what they want to do.
