only speak to me and pay me a lot of attention when I'm wearing nice clothes.
I mean ! It's just so ... I'm not sure of the word but it upsets me. I'm almost 16 and whenever we have a non-uniform day at school and I wear something nice i get loads of guys who normally ignore me coming up and trying to speak to me.
It happens a lot. Why are guys so shallow ?
It upsets me that they're like this. Why are they so shallow ?

Don't worry about the guys who only notice you when you are dressed up. Pay attention to the guys who aren't shallow. If you want, try approaching the guys who seem shallow on normal uniform days. If they don't brush you off, maybe you should get to know them. It could be that they approach you on dress-up days because *they* feel that *they* look good, so it boosts their self-confidence.

It could just be the you get noticed on non-uniform days because you have an opportunity to express your individuality by the clothes you wear. In other words, what you wear says something about who you are, and it is what these boys think that says about you that they like. It isn't really shallow. It is hard to stand out dressed like everyone else unless you have one on one contact. Maybe appreciate the attention and try to develop a frienship with them and if they aren't interested in that then MAYBE they are shallow. Move on with no hard feelings.

some boys are like this..well men as well!! I sure hope you do not fall for this and treat them the way they would when you have your uniform on! Ignore them or look right through them..they are not worth speaking to or wasting your smile or your breath on them..just do the Tyra Banks strut and walk away! Such shallow eegits won't get far in life as this is what they will look for in a woman..fine feathers do not make a fine bird!!

a lot of times, a girl can feel more confident when they are wearing nice clothes. Maybe the guys aren't being shallow, but rather noticing your new confidence? Also, don't take it as such an insult that they talk to you when you have nice clothes on. After all, it only means that you have great fashion sense!

maybe if u're wearing an uniform makes you just like other girls, and they don't notice you. when you are wearing something else, they see you different from that uniform(that may be ugly...dunno...) and they see the real you, the normal you and try to pay you attention. be patient. let them come and see that they will get used to the uniform too. and they will pay attention to you even if you're wearing it or other clothes.

guys that are 13-17 are usually extremely shallow. but hey, if they are going to be like that, let them know its not ok for them to just talk to you on certain occasions. but if they do, their not worth your time. wait for someone who will talk to you no matter what your clothes are. dont settle for shallow =]
