Please do NOT breed her again. That takes A LOT out of a girl. The best thing you could ever do for her is to get her spayed. If you try and breed her too much, there are a lot of health risks. Especially if too young or too old. Rat Terriers are NOT the breed for everyone. Terriers have a mind of their own. At least make sure that the puppies get responsible homes that are willing to train and keep the dog. Be responsible and get her spayed after her puppies go home. There does not need to be any more dogs in the worls. There are so many great dogs, and a ton of Terriers that need loving homes. Be a responsible pet owner.

onthe average a dog comes into heat every 6 months. so figure she is cariies for about 2 months, she should be witht eh pups until 8 weeks so thats another 2 months and then about 2 months later she should have anopther heat.
It is bestt o plan on breeding no more than everyother heat.
birthing and raising pups takes a lot out of a female. When bred everyheat can cause a weaker imune system, weaker uterus ( causeing possible problems free birthing)..
If on teh other hand you are thinking of spaying her it is best to start to wean the pups at 4 weeks with soup like moistened food three times a day and let mom nurse inbetween. at 5 weeks make it thicker. at 6 weeks thicker yet and leave some plain dry puppy food down for them to munch on and start them on water bye 7-8 weeks they should be on solid dry puppy food. seperate the pups from mom totally and call to set up the appointment for spaying in about 2 weeks to allow her to dry up.
Also if you didn't know pups should be wormed ( wormer from vet not over the counter) at 2,4,6,and 8 weks andshould get first vaccine at 6 weeks.

Can: The next time she comes in season... which is about 6 months from her LAST heat.
Should: If she is of good breeding quality and has whelped exceptional pups (which you can usually tell when they are adults) at least a year after whelping, but usually 18 mos so you can evaluate what she has already produced.... since reputable breeders breed only to improve the breed.

You can't be serious, are you? She will come back into heat on about 4 months after having her pups. Do not let her get pregnant for at least another year or so. Her body will not even be back in shape to have puppies so soon. I would either wait a year or have her spayed. No dog should have one litter after another.

She will be coming in heat again in about 3 months. To figure out when she is due to come in heat, count six months from her last heat cycle, not from when she had her puppies. Dogs normally come in heat every six months or twice a year.

You might want to just consider spaying her instead of putting her through that again. It can take a toll on her body and you don't want to risk her health do you? The only thing she really needs is a good home where she is loved, not to keep having babies.

She can have babies her next heat cycle, but you are risking her health as well as the health of the puppies. Please be responsible.

As soon as she has her next season - but please ensure, for her sake, that she doesn't.
