so there's this guy i noticed at the gym for a while and we never talked until recently he helped me out with something and told me he noticed me. the next day he randomly asked for my number. that same night he called just to make sure i had his #. we work out everyday and then he asked me when we were going out. i liked him until i heard he had a gf so i told him i dont go out guys with gf. so then he says he didnt have a gf but its ok he didnt want to make me uncomfortable,it really wasnt that big of deal. now sometimes he says hi, others he will see me say nothing. I dont understand

Well one of two things.

Either he has a girlfriend and he is avoiding you because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable. If that is the case then he is lying to you anyway about not being single and he is probably not the type of guy you want. (based on what I just read)

Or he really doesn't have a girlfriend and he thinks that you're not interested anymore. If this is the case he isn't going to pursue you if he doesn't think you're interested. Despite themselves and most men won't admit it....they are really insecure about asking girls out and are almost instantly shut down by a girl if they don't get a positive response from them right away.

We put ourselves out there but we don't handle rejection well.

Anyway I hope this helps. My advice. Try talking to him and seeing if he wants to work out again sometime. You have his number. Call him up and ask him out or something. See how he reacts.

You turned him off when you came up with the "i dont go out guys with gf." he probibly felt that there isnt any reason to pursue a relationship with you if that is the way you felt. or if you were wrong jumped to a conclusion that wasnt correct.
Maybe if you were to had asked if he had a girlfirend first insted of assumming he had one it may have gone smoother. for now it is probibly over and done now

well if you only heard he had a girl friend how do you know? Perhaps some girl asked him out and he just used that as an excuse so he didnt have to say he wasn't interested!!!!! Give him a shot to tell you the truth and maybe you'll be glad you did!!!

well, how sure are you that he had a gf? if you know it to be the case, then forget about him, it's he that needs to figure out whether he's ok just being friends with you.

1: He is a player and couldn't get with you, so he moved on to someone else
2: He likes his girlfriend more, and isn't willing to break up with her to be with you, so why bother flirting.
3:He's just weird.

I ADMIRE YOUR VALUES ABOUT OTHER GF. FIND OUT IF HE REALLY DOES HAVE ONE OR NOT. LIKE MOST GUYS IN A GYM THEY THINK THEY ARE MACH 1 AND GETTING BIGGER WITH EVERY CHALLENGE. I WORK OUT AT A GYM (GOLDS) AND LIKE DOING MY OWN THING-WORKOUT 2HRS A DAY M-W-F--RUN 10K T-TH-SAT AND VISIT MY LORD FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE FIT AND IN SHAPE EVERY SUNDAY.
