You know the strongest power any of us have is knowledge. Reading helps to achieve that power as does action. Coconut oil is a powerful oil that helps to stimulate your metabolism. Yes, it is a saturated fat...a healthy heart protecting saturated fat. Read the book The Coconut Miracle before you follow the leaders who diss coconut oil due to ignorance. coconut oil is not a cure. it simply gives you extra omega3s in your diet which most people are in severe lack of. omega3s help stimulate metabolism but you won't see any changes if you aren't exercising and eating properly the rest of the day. you can put coconut oil in a smoothie to make it go down easier.

Coconut oil has the highest % of saturated fat of any oil or fat out there, including lard. If you wouldn't eat lard, then you shouldn't eat coconut oil. If you are looking for omega-3 fatty acids, you should take fish oil capsules.

Coconut oil is really high in fat. I think you're being mislead if you were told it helps you lose weight.
