all adhesives that come in contact with food must, by law, be made of non toxic food based adhesives. the food and drug administration started this years ago.

.I've never seen a wrapper on an ice cream cone.Mine have always been wrapped in a napkin. If it comes that way it has to be non toxic and can't hurt you.Any paper food wrapper is harmless.Even the ink is non toxic.

I usually eat it when I stuff the bottom of the cone in my mouth. nothing wrong happened afterwards.

I used to not eat it, but then I thought to myself "why would they put something not edible on an ice cream cone when kids might end up eating it??"

plus, it's so small that I don't think it can be that toxic.. that is, if you're not supposed to eat it.
