There so many prospective positions you can explore if you decide to advance your career after being an administrative assistance - you just need to have an open mind.

Being an administrative assistant hones your: people skills; keen on details; expert in clerical and administrative work; trustworthiness, etc.

Usually you can start with "generalists positions or positions related to Help Desk or Customer Service". You just have to initiate the learning and familiarise yourself with tasks outside from your current post. If you enjoyed being an administrative assistant - that means your a people person and a good follower. I would suggest you ask Human Resources for vacancies then plot your next move.
