Compare how people reacted to Harry Potter, and how people everyday react to the bible.

I am a christian and I love the Harry Potter books. So I must be going to hell right? Jeeze.

Anyway. When Harry Potter came out, many people...TONS of people said it was a horrible and awful book. People judged it, talked about it when they havent even READ it!!! Basically, they looks like idiots cause they were saying how stupid and evil it was when in reality they have never even picked up the book.

Same thing with the bible.
people say "Well if prayer works the pray for God to prove himself" and tons of other things....Well, if you had acutally stuck your nose in the bible you would know that it doesn't work that way.
People judge the bible. Talk about the bible...and yet they havent even read it.

Why should you be agrueing something when you dont even know anything about the somthing your talking about?

the flicks do kinda injury the perspective that some human beings like your self have of the characters and settings from the books. i admire the flicks. i think of that they've been nicely executed, yet there are important plot blunders. u might desire to understand that the books are see you later that in the event that they have been to comprise each and every thing interior the flicks they could be 6 to twelve hours long a minimum of. no person ought to correctly demonstrate each and all of the character features that the characters in Harry Potter do. the books are fantasy, fictional, hence they might't be properly displayed. i admire the flicks yet whilst in comparison with the books they suck. the 6th and seventh video clips would be worse using fact the main substantial actors (Daniel, Rupert, and Emma) are believed to be attending to old for the aspects. the hot Dumbledore is taking part in the area incorrect. my opinion of Dumbledore from the books is a mix of the two action picture Dumbledores. the define interior the books depicts him as old and calm like the 1st one, yet in addition agile and forceful like the 2nd. the goblet of hearth became the worst action picture, they thoroughly exceeded over Dobby and Winky, Ludo Bagman, and Bertha. by way of the way the launch date for the seventh e book is July 21, 2007 if u did no longer already understand.

most atheists have read more of the bible than regular believers.

As an atheist i can proudly say i read it out of curiousity to understand how "religious people think" and i realized that if most of you had read the old testament then you probably wouldn't be religious anymore.

No, the Bible doesn't teach kids that their parents are bad and stupid like Harry Potter infers. The book teaches that parents cannot be trusted and isn't that convenient that most parents that they say cannot be trusted try to teach about God and Jesus?

No, the Bible is not thing like Harry Potter.

The Bible should teach us to mature in our faith in Him.

the difference is that people have been discussing the bible for a few hundred years, and quoting it on Y/A likes it's going out of style.

Yes. You are right.

Matthew was a Hufflepuff.

Mark was a Gryffindor

Luke and John were both in Ravenclaw.

Judas Iscariot, as it turns out, was a Slytherin.

I've read the bible and found it to be factually and conceptually to be fictional. Do you read books that argue your faith? If not, why not?
