I think that that kid is terribly misinformed, and what he means is Aryan, not asian. The true Aryans were Persian, and it has been proven beyond any doubt that this is so. The fact that Israel had close ties to the Persians in earlier times probably, almost certainly, they intermarried and had numerous offspring, which was common in those earlier times. So it goes without saying that Jewish people are most likely to be more Aryan than most others, except Persians of course. That's one in the eye for all those Nazis out there, huh!

No, what someone told you is wrong:

There are Jews from all over the world. For example, if you go to Israel, you will meet Jews from India, Iceland, France, Japan, China, Italy, UK, USA, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, and so on, and so on.

Judaism did start in the Middle East, yes, and so originally, Jews would indeed have had dark colouring. Jesus was a Jew of course, and he too would have been swarthy, not at all the blonde haired and blue eyed man that he is often portrayed as in Europe!

Just as GOD! created Adam and Eve. He chose Abraham And made him the promise that his seed would inherit the earth. If you read the old testament and sincerely ask GOD! for understanding and the truth! He will teach you he is talking about men and not the land where they lived. It took the people who were led out of Egypt and threw the many temptations a long, time and many hardships in the wilderness before they crossed the Gorden river into the natural land That was promised to Abraham. The Jewish people were called JEWS long before then! And Israel was a mans name and not a land. I want you to study the stories of Isack and Jacob and his twelve sons! Find the truth for yourself! Then its yours forever. Believe me he will show you what you seek. May God bless you and the truth you seek become perfectly Real to you!!

Actually its a confusing issue being discussed by the Beit Din and some other Israelis. But theres many answers. In a secular stand point we are Arab because of Israels culture. We are Asian because of the Continent we are near but Israel connects Asia and Africa as well. Also we are considered a European country because we are apart of the EU.But when i get more info i will edit my answer.

Hmmm?! I never heard the Jews being called "Asia" before. However, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, et al are consider to be in "Asia Minor" (today called the Middle East), so from that standpoint I reckon they could be considered to be "Asian". However, if that argument is used, that would mean that all whites (The so-called Caucasians) would be "Asians" as, according to the liberals in social science and other disciplines, the white race began in the Black Sea Region, a "part" of Asia.
Geographically, Israel, as well as the Black Sea area would seem to fall between Europe and Asia, making them just as much "European" as "Asian".
See the website:
http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Asia
The girl's name Asia \a-sia\ is pronounced AY-zhah. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "sunrise". May also derive from Assyrian "asu" meaning "east". Modern name, usually used in reference to the continent. Also sometimes used as a short form of a name ending with -ia, such as Aspasia. According to the Koran, Asia was the name of the Pharoah's wife who raised the infant Moses. Asia is also a variant of Aisha, the name of Muhammad's favorite wife, one of the four "perfect women". See also Fatima, Khadija, and Mary.

Asia has 7 variant forms: Aja, Asiah, Asianne, Asya, Asyah, Azha and Azia.

Today the Ashkenazi Jews are the largest group, having their origin in Europe. See:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/judaism/FAQ/07-Jews-As-Nation/section-2.html
While "Jews" are considered to be a "race", it is also a religion. There are Jews in Africa that are black!
In the end, the only thing that matters is what YOU are comfortable with.
I am descended from 3 groups of Jews, including the Ashkenazi...

technically the land of israel is on the continent of asia. however, when most people think of asians and their appearance and culture, they really only think of the chinese/japanese/koreans, etc, and their religions. the middle east, the part of asia where israel is located, is generally not considered "asian" but instead falls into its own category.

"Israel (Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵל‎, Yisra'el), officially the State of Israel (Hebrew: מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵל (help·info), Medinat Yisra'el; Arabic: دَوْلَةْ إِسْرَائِيل, Dawlat Isrā'īl), is a country in Southwest Asia located on the southeastern edge of the Mediterranean Sea."

They are people of the book and were given so much troubles in the days of old.

Driven about from land to land, they got enough now to make you and me dance my dear.

They are not Asian, and you are not too, but if your ancestor reached Asia in the early days and you are with some Asian blood down the line, be proud ,my dear, we Asian are decent , honest creatures of God too.

Judaism started in the Middle East, but that was so long ago that Judaism has spread all over the world. Probably the vast majority of Jews are now of European descent--if you want to say that humans originated in Africa and therefore we're all African, you'd have the same problem arguing that all Jews are Middle Eastern.
