so...i'm designing my own tees with sharpie rub-a-dubs but unfortunately my pens are getting low on ink! gah! i know!
i was wondering if acryllic paint would work fine as fabric paint?

Yes very much so.

GAC900 by Golden Artist Colours is a medium that gives excellent results if you ad that 1:1 to your paint but you can do it without.

Acrylics will work fine on T-Shirts but be sure to use a product called TEXTILE MEDIUM which helps it absorb evenly into the cloth. You can also use something like Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic Varnish (one part varnish, 2 parts paint). Once the artwork is dry, turn inside out and heat set using a pressing cloth and dry iron, about 25 seconds per section.
I have several Tees and Sweats that I did almost 15 years ago and the artwork is in better shape than the shirts!
