Bashers, go play on the freeway, and let the LDS answer their own questions!

Well.. I think that a lot of people *think* they know about Mormons, but I am Mormon, and can say that the anti-Mormon information is not truth in any form. I'm a Mormon woman, and I'm not oppressed! :) Lds.org can answer basic questions about our doctrine and beliefs. For the most part, I would say that "true" members promote love, acceptance, the family, and Jesus Christ as our savior.

You guys are so funny. Criticizing the Mormons! LOL!! I just want you to know we laugh at you guys!!! Its so funny to see the things you think we do!! LOL!!! And we don't believe in polygamy. We do, but we aren't suppose to do it. So I just have to laugh in your faces!!!! Come to UTAH!! You'll love it here! I'm a Mormon, and I think its great, yeah we can drink and stuff but that stuff doesn't matter. So start getting over yourself because we are just as normal!!! That's the thing you guys don't understand! IS WE ARE SO NORMAL YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WE WERE MORMON BY LOOKING AT US! just because we have different beliefs doesn't mean anything we don't do this to your religion! SO leave us alone. We are Christians, just like Catholics.

Enough. Mostly I have learned about LDS, its historical background, and its basic doctrines through my own research efforts on Comparative Religions. In the past I also had a friend who was a Mormon but we didn't get a chance to discuss theological doctrines as much.

I'll have to admit that I haven't completely read the Book of Moroni in its entirety yet.

Peace be with you.

I have some Mormon friends and acquaintances that are very nice and well mannered. This what I can tell you. I'm not a Mormon and don't know exactly their beliefs. I know they are christian in belief.

I have belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my 56 years. I am a sixth generation Latter-day Saint. My children and grandchildren are thus seventh and eighth generation LDS.
What would you like to know?
To tell you all that I know would take more time and space than are now alloted to me. I will say this much, it is the Church of Jesus Christ, established by Him, and is under His direction. We have daily revelation from Christ through the Holy Ghost via the apostles and prophets.
It is true.

Since I am on, quite a bit. I can't say I know it all, because I am still learning, as we all do. Here are a few sites that might help you to understand our beliefs a little more.

Have a great day!!!!

They claim to be Christians but are not. They believe God is just a man who got elevated to godhood by His god. They believe Jesus and Satan are brothers. They believe God has many wives and lives on or near the planet kolob. They believe the blood of Christ is not sufficient to pay for all our sins. They believe in baptism for the dead. They believe the book of mormon is more correct than the Bible. They are polytheistic and believe there are many gods. They believe if you are a good enough mormon you can become a god. There is a lot more. If you want to learn more follow the link below.

I know their founder was supposedly a freemason, just like the jehovahs witness was.

I know they believe in a mother goddess that the Father has secretly kept hidden.

I know they take up a hefty amount of money, very legalistic.
