One of our french bulldogs sleeps on the bed, but the other one (with incontinence issues) sleeps in his crate for obvious reasons...haha

That is what I do with my dogs. I have two large mutts and two small lap dogs. We do not allow the big dogs on the bed. It is an opinion because some people look at it is different ways but as long as you think what you are doing is alright then go ahead and do that.

My dogs sleep in my room, but not on my bed. On occasion I will let one come up to cuddle with me for a short time, then they go back down on the floor to their own beds!

I see no problem allowing a dog to snuggle with you provided the following:
1 - The dog has no aggressive or dominant tendencies and does not test your authority.
2 - The dog only does so when you invite them to snuggle with you and respects the furniture as yours, not theirs.
3 - The dog will get off immediately when told to.
As long as the dog respects you and their being on the furniture is controlled by you, there is no problem.

My dog is a german shepherd and i let him sleep with me and he is big. It justs shows that you love them. The only thing he isn't suposed to go on is the new white sofa. Other than that i let my dog sleep with me all the time. You should to. And even if you don't you shouldn't let just your smaller dog on the sofa with you it isn't fare and the other dogs are probably jelous.

My dogs have always slept in my bed. And I mean IN my bed!! :) My current doggie, Sahsa a jack russell terrier, loves to sleep at my feet. My old dog, Tammi, a blue heeler cross, a big dog, used to sleep by my side and always try to get the whole bed to herself!! and try to use my pillow. And she used to snore SO bad. haha
My dog's have never looked at me as anything but a leader, they just get to sleep in my bed! :)

Depends. My dog's medium size: about 50 lbs. He generally stays on the floor all night until either I or my girlfriend wakes up. Once one of us leaves, he takes that side of the bed.

My dogs are welcome on my couch to snuggle. But at night, they go to their kennel. Mainly because Ezra is still being potty trained. I do not invite them on my bed. I have a few reasons. First... there is no room. And second I am afraid my dachshund will injure herself jumping off of it in the night.
