As a Christian I am appauled that a leader in the ministry had a million dollar wedding using money from the ministry. That money could have been better spent on the needy. I am ashamed of these people who are using the ministry to gain wealth. With this type of garbage going on in the Christian leadership I am not surprised that the church in America is luke warm.

I do not know who Crefflo Dollar is and I know that my pastor does not drive a rolls royce, he drives a late model pickup truck that he uses to help people in the church when they need a pickup (moving, yard work, etc.).
I guess my point is not to hit the church over the head with an insult for the sake of injury, but instead to wake people up to injustices going on around them. I believe we live in a fallen world and we need to show Christ's love to those who need it the most. If that means giving financially than so be it, however I do not want to see the leadership skiming off the top and living high on the hog.
I would like to clarify not all Christians act like this. Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in southern California has sold many copies of books he has authored. He only keeps 10% of the royalties, the rest goes to his ministry.

Like the other answer, if that is true, it is sad and the money is being misused. The Chruch is here to help the needy, not ourselves. I think we are being deceived to believe that we need to think of ourselves and our own needs first. We need to be content with little so that we can help those that are without. This is truly Love for others.

Be for real. Christanity has grown to over a trillion dollar industry. Its all about the money! Look at Creflo Dollar-2 mega churches-2 royals royce-he has a private jet-I mean, you are a christian right-then why is this shocking to you?
*EDIT*
Religion in general is a Trillion dollar industry. Pastors, preachers, ministers-do you think they pay taxes? And if you dont know who Creflo Dollar is-look em up. You have the internet right, google his name. Like I said, if you are a Christan, this shouldnt be "shocking" that she spent a million dollars on her wedding-after all, her "followers" and congregation paid for it. She doesnt have to pay taxes. Im from a small town in Mississippi and it was CLEAR-CRYSTAL CLEAR, that those who wear highly favored of the church had a lot more material possesions than those who were in the pues. (the seats)
Religion, my dear, is and was always for control. Thats the whole point is to control one with fear. (look at a pyramid-knowledge is at the top, ignorance at the bottom, do some research on the history of religion and you will know what Im saying) I grew up in chruch and they gave tithes 3-4 times EACH SUNDAY. To go toward church building fund, and this type of fund and not to mention revival and all that other stuff-and where are the new doorknobs? Umm, like that new caddy!
Come on... you are still telling me you are in denial about the Christain community and how they spend their money?
Obviously you arent really a leader in the community of the Christian folk because you would know that it really is just a scam in the whole scheme of things. If you dont see that, then you are walking through life on autopilot because your religion has deprived you from thinking for yourself.
I grew up a christan and it has only been about a year now that I would consider myself an atheist. But that sounds crazy-know why? Because I was born an atheist. So were you. I just remembered and asked enough questions to raise my awareness, my conscious level and brought back the ability to think for myself and not to be in fear. Man, it felt good too.
So, my question to you is, when you have that meal on your plate and you are thanking your God for this good meal-keeping in mind, Christianty has been around for about what 6000 yrs, it has grown to WELL OVER a trillion dollar industry (I mean, its even implemented by our governement-what happened to seperation of church and state?) and when you are blessing your food-how in the world has your god not been able to form a PLAN to help the needy people right here in this country. I live in atlanta and just go downtown, its homeless people left and right. When you are praying over your food and thanking your god for putting it there, why is it, that YOUR GOD hasnt come up with a plan to help the needy and starving children in Africa??
So, please ma'am come again when you say that the wedding of this woman was disturbing when it has been clear that religion is and always will be a money making machine.
The best I've seen so far. Glad im not buying it anymore.
You should invest your money in better places too!

I am outraged that Juanita Bynum poses as a Christian minister. I feel sorry for the misguided souls that follow her teachings.

It is nice to see that some one in America can actually see what those sorts of people are.
Frauds... money making frauds.
The worst kind of fraudsters who prey on other peoples vulnerability and hope.

I wonder how many children could have been fed or vaccinated with that million dollars?
It's really sad how few people see the big picture.
