"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)
"Initially there were 34 gospels that were compiled by word of mouth. Four were chosen for unclear reasons and 30 were left behind [burned]. (Encyclopedia Britannica)
“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,

OMFG 4 people here said they don't believe in evolution. Ahahaha, that's the fuc-ing funniest thing I've ever heard, that would be the equivalent of me saying gravity is a myth. I can't believe how ignorant religious people can be, I never knew someone could be so stupid, they don't give a sh!t about facts obviously or else they would atheist. These people know nothing of evolution so they can't say anything, they think the metaphor "We are from dirt" is the same in the bible and in real life, but there is a big word they obviously don't know the meaning of: Metaphor. And they think we can from monkeys, that shows how ignorant they are, learn about evolution people!
I go with option 3 100% bcause it's...what do you call it....back up with FACTS!
LOL Suzi, you obviously don't follow the bible or else you would not have a computer. If you followed the bible you would never know what a hot guy is because that's lust. If you followed the bible you wouldn't be you, you know nothing of the bible, if you think it's literal you need to see a doctor, I'm serious, that's mental.

We only get three choices? But you'er not biased or anything are you? I didn't know the Holy Spirit wrote books.
In truth I can come up with several other options. Such as as;
People are fallible. Allegory is not meant to be taken literally. The Bible was compiled by men to validate the doctrine of a new, up and coming religion. Men misused the allegory to further a political objective. Men oppressed other people into literal interpretation of the allegory. Now a lot of people are confused and the Holy Spirit gets a bad rap from ignorant religiophobes.
You might actually consider doing a more thorough investigation into the history of Christianity and the Bible. A class on logic would not hurt either as it would help you to see the fallacy of your equation.

Or, we could study modern hermeneutics, the teaching of the early Church Fathers, etc...
We could start by being more precise stating that the various narratives in Genesis correspond to many different literary genres, written quite an old time ago, within a quite different mind-setting, etc, etc...

The truth is that people deceive themselves. They take what they think they know and run with it, believe it, and try to make everyone else believe it. If you don't believe like they believe, you've got a fight on your hands. Pure evil is what I call them!

Or the Genesis account is literal and evolution is still looking for those between kind fossils. The fossil record only has fish as fish and land creatures as land creatures--no in betweens.
The delusional are those thinking they are somehow better or superior to anyone believing the bible is true.

OR our knowledge of evolution simply serves to expand on the shorthand description given in the bible. After all, Evolution agrees that life came from dirt.

Wait, you forgot the last option,
Genesis is 100% correct and all scientific findings pointing otherwise are a crock of poop.
Odd as it might sound a lot of people convince themselves of just that.
