After all there is only one Jesus Christ The son of Almighty God.
There are 1000s of different version of the first bible, because it was translated wrong, by The Roman Church

Perhaps you mean Catholicism? the role of the Pope and the Bishops united with him is one of Apostolic succession in that they are to spread the Gospel,Baptize in the name of the Holy Trinity,Offer the Eucharist at Mass and to forgive sin.
Other spiritual duties include directing the souls in their charge to a greater union with God and to keep them free from errors.
