Not likely. In the wild, cats eat bugs all of the time! My two cats have recently caught crickets and eaten them, too. Other than grossing me out, all is well.

For the most part I don't think a cricket will make a cat sick. Cats eat a lot of weird insects and they a fine. Just be on the look out for some strange behavior from you cat. But I think your cat will be fine.

My cat keeps vomiting every morning. I didn't know why, but now that I have noticed her chomping on crickets at night, I think that may be the reason. She is still technically a kitten, about 6 months old- maybe that's why her stomach is weaker? and most cats seem to digest them fine.

Your cat will not get sick. When I was a cub, our cats ate crickets all the time and they were not sick.
The danger for cats is if they eat the entire Blue Tail Lizard.
If they eat the Blue Tail, it will mess up their equilibrium.
I know because our Momma Cat ate one when I was a Cub, her eyes spun round and she ran backward. With Meds from Vet, strict diet and keeping her indoors, she lived a long life.
The difficult part was keeping her indoors, she was an outdoor cat.

No it won't. My cat eats them all the time. She chases them around and then they are gone. Infact she chases all bugs around and then they are gone.
Insects made up a big part of their diet before we came in their lives.

No my cat miss piggy loves to play with grasshoppers and crickets ect . She may upchuck it but it will not hurt her.
