It's almost like the battery is dead. I've never had a car die in 2 days. I will contact the dealer tomorrow, but has anyone else ever heard of this?

Most likely the battery is dead.

Sometimes the cars can sit on a dealer's lot for several days and cause the battery to be weak.

I've seen many dealerships take a machine out to jump start brand new cars because their battery has died while sitting on the lot.

I have had my 2008 Vue for 3 months, 6500 mi., there is a recall for some sort of switch that decides when to charge the battery. I had the non start problem while on a trip with my wife 10 days ago, limped it into the dealer ( Santa Maria, CA ) and they "fixed it" .. Yesterday it happened again at UCSB parking lot and I missed a cool water polo game due to this. I had to get a charge from Saturn roadside service, we drove it straight to the same dealer. They provided me with a loaner ( same 2008 Vue), very courteous and that's what I am driving right now. It remains to be seen what is going on, I may be looking at another model but my wife is lobbying to keep the car .. I dunno right now ... waiting for Saturn to make me happy again as this is Saturn # 4 from dealer. Film at 11

Check the distributor cap. That's the plastic thing about 4" in diameter that has 4-6 wires coming out of it. It could be cracked or it could have moisture in it. Dry it if moist. Wrap in duct tape if cracked.
