I have always called a 40 oz of beer a quart and now when I say that my boyfriend says that it is only a 40 and not a whole quart.....dumb question but I want to know who is right!!!So I can prove him wrong~hehe!!!!

It is actually one and a quarter quarts. One quart is 32 fluid ounces.

32 ounces is a quart in liquid measurement. A 40 ounce bottle holds more than a quart. However when it comes to weight 40 ounces is 2 1/2 pounds or a kilo.

40 ounce can of beer is 3 - 6 drinks, depending on the percentage of alcohol or proof. This is where risk and experiencing negative consequences such as hangover, getting sick, black-out, regrets/embarrassment, etc. start to happen.

Well, a 12 oz beer has the same alcohol content of a 1.5 oz shot of hard liquor. Sooo... 32/1.5= 21.333333333333333333333333333333333... It would be roughly 21 beers. Haha, second answerer but I had the *Right* answer up first. Slowpokes.
