If you want to really lose weight, the best program and diet is eating healthy and exercising regularly.

I have been on diets all my life. There is no magic cure. I have found that changing my eating habits to be a lifestyle change is working for me. Most diets work if u stick to them, but the minute u go off them u are back to where u started. So start eating healthy foods and counting calories. U can eat all the non-starchy vegtables u want and still lose. By the time u get to your goal weight u will know how much to eat to maintain your weight without counting every calorie.

There is no regulation of diet and weight loss programs; any one (including you or myself) can devise one and have it published or sold.
Bet bet: start with websites, such as WebMD, www.mypyramid.com, etc., find out what the recommendations are for one your age, size, etc., then devise your own program.
For starters, remember, it is literally impossible for a person to get all the recommended vitamins and minerals, roughage, etc., WITHOUT consuming too many calories! Try for a balanced diet of fruits and veggies, a little bit of meat (or fish or poultry), some nuts, etc. I usually drink a glass of grape juice/orange juice/apple juice/whatever, then some raisins, or a bananna or appe to get my fruits. Canned soup will give you the veggies.
WALK, WALK, WALK for exercise, relaxation, to rev up your metabolism.
Devise your own program, using the guidelines at the above-referenced websites and other "good" sites, and you will be fine.
Remember: see a doctor before beginning any such program.
