It will be cold, and seem very country to you. The people are quite nice, hospitable. The pace will be slower. Depending on where in Ohio, but there may not be much for you to do.

It really depends where in Ohio you are visiting. Northern Ohio tends to get snow by end of November; area just to east of Cleveland can get a couple feet or more in one night! Nighlife easy to find in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and in towns with colleges, except Oberlin...when I lived there I drove to Cleveland alot. Make a trip to grocery store--always a hoot! See products you've never thought of! We are very reliant on our cars because mass transit really is scarce outside of cities (and good luck if you're trying to go suburb to suburb). I think nothing of driving 45-60 minutes to a good restaurant. I am often shocked by how little many Ohioans know of other countries, so don't be too surprised if some people don't know much about England! Southern Ohio is very much a part of the South, while Northern Ohio is very Midwest.

I live in Florida, and had the opportunity to visit England last year. ( In June, and it was still cold to me) So I would say you probably wont be too cold. The things that surprised me about England ( was in West Sussex, and London) was that is was so small...the houses, the cars, the roads, the sinks, the washing machines etc. I think people from Europe usually see it as wasteful when they come here, because everything is so big here. Just enjoy it. It will be a different experience. Also, I don't like to knock other peoples countries, but I do think people are a lot friendlier over here, especially in smaller states like Ohio. Oh yeah and when you go to a restaurant here, they give free refills on drinks ( that was something I missed over there..lol) Have Fun!!!

haha, I heard a funny story once. A family from Ireland were travelling in one of the states where not too many foreigners go, and they were sitting in a diner and discussing the menu among themselves. The waitress came over and asked them 'Are you from Europe?' and they smiled and said 'yes', to which she replied 'Well, you sure speak English real good!'
