I am looking for strobe lights to buy and found these....
http://www.autodirectsave.com/prod/AutoDirectSave.Com_Free_Shipping/Police_Light_Sound/Visor_&_Grille_Strobes/Grille__bumper_Strobe/260
Is there anyway I can sorta conceal these..because I dont want everybody to stop or freak out that there is what they think a cop behind them but I am really a volunteer fire fighter.
So is there any way I can put those inside the grill that way you can barely see them?
Thanks

Why don't you purchase the round blue light that you put on your dash board when you need it. Everyone should understand by the light being blue and not red that you are a volunteer trying to get to your firehouse.

YOu can have police strobe lights on a vehicle. You cannot have blue anywhere on the vehicle. YOu may have red but only if its facing backwards. Amber (orange) can be placed in the front windsheild and back windshield. I have an Amber strobe in my Windshield ANd i am a Volunteer Explorer In Arizona>

There are no laws concerning placement of the lights, but keep in mind the lights are useless if the are not seen by the public when you are responding.
There are several lights on the market that are so small they won't be noticed, or others that look clear until you turn them on.
Strobes are more expensive, and harder to install, they need thier own power supply.

I sure hope you live in the country. Have you taken EVOC? Once you throw lights and siren on your POV, it's can be considered an emergency vehicle. You may be a loud to have them, but are you allowed? I'm having a hard time believing you are a volly firefighter. You're most likely asking about this on Yahoo instead of asking a supervisor because you aren't one.

Why not just get the new concealable LED's that can be concealed behind the front grill on your car. The LED's do not show what color they are when they are not lit. The new LED's have a huge service life, and there are no moving parts, so they are maintnenace free.

You can mount the red (not blue) light in your grill. Your question is a bit strange since you claim to be a VF but don't want people freaking out when they see the lights. Thats what they are for (not freaking but to be seen) The directions say they can be mounted inside the grill.

The majority of states ONLY allow BLUE lights for volunteer fire fighters. There's a reason why.... police officers are easily identified by their red lights, you could possibly be cited for impersonation of a police officer.
What state do you live in?

Are you sure that you are allowed a red and a blue? I think fire can only have red. That being said, if you are rushing to a fire, I would not want them to be hidden. If you are headed to a fire, they should be VERY visible, and if they are both red, they would not typically be confused with police.
Finally, God bless you for volunteering. Our firefighters, whether volunteer or paid, should be respected and appreciated.
