the best way you could tell a man that you love him, is by doing what feels natural. a simple kiss and a sincere I love you while you look him in the eye is a good ice breaker....

vincepac601 is right. BE UP FRONT AND TELL HIM. A guy appreciates the value of being direct.
But remember-if you say you Love him-MEAN IT!
When a guy hears "I Love You', a REAL GUY, your saying to him that you are responsible for yourself and committed to being with him. DON'T tell him your in Love, because you like the IDEA of being in Love. That throws a guy off and confuses him. And we all know, confusion leads to CHAOS.
Now-if you LUST for him and you want to jump his "bones' and let him rock you like a wild Roman Orgy, that's ok too-just so long as your UP-FRONT with him about that.
My point-tell him the truth and be sure that your HONEST about your feelings. If he doesn't feel the same about you and wants the opposite of what you want-LEAVE HIM ALONE.
That why DATING is important. To find out if he's what you want.

If a girl was saying it to me id want her to not do somthing corny like writing a poem, or somthing like that. I also wouldnt really want it just out of nowhere. I think it would be nice if she did it in a somewhat shy way. But its different for every guy, youll have to pick the way that feels most comftorable and go fo it

If she says she loves me I know she is up to something. Or has done something she wasn't supposed to do. Got to watch out for those I love yous.

The term "I love you" can be expressed in many different ways, it also depends on your tone. You can express "i love you" in poetry, explanation, and etc. Like for example: "I liked all the times you smiled at me, I liked all the times you were angry at me, I wanna spend my time with you."
